AFC U23 Asian Cup Qualifiers: Nepal Suffers Defeat To Tajikistan

Nepal suffered a defeat in their opening match of the AFC U-23 Asian Cup Qualifiers, which began in Tajikistan on Wednesday.

Placed in Group K, Nepal lost 4-0 to hosts Tajikistan. Nepal will play their second group match against Syria on September 6. On the same day, Tajikistan will face the Philippines.

Earlier on Wednesday, Syria had defeated the Philippines 2-1 in the group’s first match.

The group winners will qualify for the AFC U-23 Asian Cup to be held in Saudi Arabia next year, while the four best second-placed teams will also book their spots.
